The work explores the discomfort experienced by the individual in the face of ingrained, internalized teachings. In this context, the concept of "memory" holds a central place within the practice. It focuses on the effects of memories on the individual, the way memory distorts and reshapes them under the guise of “play” and “entertainment,” the unreliability of the act of remembering, and the dangers of a sense of complacency rooted in habit, which lies at the core of it all.

This relationship between memory and recollection is examined through the lens of presence and absence—fullness and emptiness. The notion of “emptiness” as expressed in the poetry of Oruç Aruoba and the concept of “time” as explored in the language of Bilge Karasu constitute important foundational perspectives in this approach. The narrative, often constructed through interior and exterior spaces, is reinforced by carefully chosen framing and the soft tones of the color palette.

More recently, the themes have begun to be explored under the broader heading of “decay/degeneration.” This line of inquiry, which proceeds through errors and habits (familiarities), questions both physical and psychological dimensions of decay and degeneration. By focusing on the systematic structure of decay, the practice continues to examine this structure through the interwoven moments, memories, and cyclical repetitions that shape an individual’s life.
